Browser Plugins
For a quick way to access the UNL’s ENCORE search engine, you can install a small opensearch plugin. Internet Explorer 7 (and newer) and Firefox 2 (and newer) have a search bar in the upper right hand corner of the screen. This plugin adds the ability to search the UNL Encore system right there, without needing to come to our website first.
Firefox Instructions
To install the plugin on Firefox just follow these steps:
- Go up to the upper right hand side of your web browser and click on the small arrow highlighted in light blue. (See image to the right)
- Click on “Add “UNL ENCORE Search”.
That’s it! Now you can select the UNL Libraries from that list and search anytime you want.
Internet Explorer Instructions
To install the plugin on Internet Explorer just follow these steps:
- Go up to the upper right hand side of your web browser and click on the small arrow highlighted in orange. (See image to the right)
- Click on “Add Search Providers” then chose “UNL ENCORE Search”.
That’s it! Now you can select the UNL Libraries from that list and search anytime you want.
